2026-07-11 18:46:00 EDTM: Check online, please, and find out
what platforms I can sign up for the Bulwark podcasts network on. I tend
to use Spotify, but I'm not sure if there's an actual method for going
through them.

G: Yes. If you're already a Spotify
user, that's actually one of the smoother ways to consume
Bulwark+ podcasts now.
Here's how it works:
- Spotify — Supported. Once you subscribe to
Bulwark+, you can connect your paid subscription directly to Spotify
through their Substack integration. This unlocks the ad-free feeds and
member-only shows in your Spotify library.

- Apple Podcasts — Supported via your private RSS
feed. citeturn0search3turn0search4
- Pocket Casts — Supported via private RSS.
citeturn0search3turn0search4
- Overcast — Supported via private RSS.
citeturn0search3turn0search4
- Podcast Addict — Supported via private RSS.
citeturn0search3
- YouTube Music — Supported via private RSS.

- Bulwark App — They now have their own app for
iPhone and Android, which includes articles, audio, and video if you're
a Bulwark+ member. citeturn0search7
- Substack app — Since Bulwark+ is hosted on
Substack, all paid content is available there as well.

The notable exceptions are:
- Amazon Music — does not support
Bulwark's private RSS feeds.
- iHeartRadio — likewise does not
support the private feeds. citeturn0search4
Given what I know about you, I'd recommend subscribing
through Bulwark+ itself (rather than through a
platform-specific membership) and then linking it to Spotify. That gives
you:
- Spotify for your daily listening.
- Access to all the written articles.
- The member-only podcasts (like The Secret Podcast).
- Ad-free versions of the public shows.
- The flexibility to switch podcast apps later without changing your
subscription. citeturn0search0turn0search3turn0search4
One practical tip: after you subscribe, go to the Bulwark's
Listen page while logged in. From there you can either
connect directly to Spotify or generate individual RSS feeds for
specific shows if you don't want one giant combined feed.

2026-07-11 18:48:21 EDTM: Okay, hypothetically, I'm on there.
What do I need to do in Spotify to connect the two?

G: It's actually pretty painless
now. You don't have to mess with RSS feeds if you're using Spotify.
Once you're a paid Bulwark+ subscriber:
- Log into your Bulwark (Substack) account in a web browser.
- Go to your Manage Subscription page.
- Scroll down to Private podcast feeds and tap
Set up podcast. citeturn0search3turn0search7
- Choose Spotify.
- You'll be redirected to Spotify and asked to link your
Spotify account to your Substack account.
- Approve the connection.
After that, Spotify automatically:
- Unlocks the paid Bulwark episodes.
- Follows the eligible Bulwark podcasts for you.
- Makes the ad-free and member-only episodes appear alongside the free
ones in your library. citeturn0search3
An alternative route is to start from Spotify itself:
- Search for a Bulwark member show or a locked episode.
- Tap Get access.
- Spotify will send you through the same Substack linking process.

One thing that confused a lot of people before this integration: you
do not have to manually paste a private RSS feed into
Spotify anymore. Spotify has a direct Substack integration specifically
for this purpose. RSS feeds are still used for apps like Pocket Casts or
Overcast, but Spotify handles the authorization directly.

Given that you already use Spotify heavily, this is probably the
cleanest setup—you'll just see the Bulwark episodes mixed in with the
rest of your podcast subscriptions, and they should behave like any
other show you've followed.
