Step-by-Step

  1. Enable in Control Center

    • Open SettingsControl Center.
    • Under More Controls, tap the green + next to Screen Recording.
  2. Start Recording

    • On your iPhone 12 (Face ID): swipe down from the top-right corner.
    • Tap the record icon (a solid circle within a ring).
    • If you need microphone audio, press-and-hold that icon first, then tap Microphone Audio to turn it on.
    • Recording begins after a 3 second countdown.
  3. Stop Recording

    • Tap the red status bar at the top of your screen, then tap Stop, or
    • Open Control Center again and tap the record icon.
  4. Find Your Video

    • Open the Photos app → Recents. Your screen recording will appear there.

Recording is now saved to Photos and ready to share or edit.
